Can You Feel It?

Writer: Katie RyzhikovKatie Ryzhikov

It’s that time of year again when the world gently stirs from its winter slumber. There’s a softening of the air, a brightness in the sky that feels just a little warmer, and—if you listen closely—a quiet hum of life ready to burst forth.

Can you feel it?

Spring is on its way.

The first harbingers are already making themselves known. Crocuses and snowdrops bravely push through the frosted earth, their delicate blooms standing as proof that beauty and resilience can coexist. They are the first colors in a world still painted in the monochrome of winter brown, a whisper that warmth will return.

Not far behind, daffodils are preparing their golden trumpets. Their cheerful presence will soon dance in clusters along roadsides and gardens, a vivid chorus celebrating the promise of brighter days. They are the heralds of joy, as if nature herself is throwing a party in our honor.

Forsythia, with its shocking yellow branches, waits in the wings, ready to explode into bloom as the sun grows stronger. Its brightness is like a child’s laughter—sudden, unrestrained, impossible not to smile at.

And though the peepers have yet to be heard, their song will soon fill the evening air, a chorus of tiny frogs calling out in hopeful unison. That moment, when their music first rises from the thawing earth, feels like a secret shared between nature and those who are willing to listen.

These early signs of spring bring with them a feeling of joy and quiet promise. They are nature’s way of reminding us that new beginnings are always possible. The world is waking up, and with it, our own spirits seem to brighten, drawn to the warmth and light like blooms turning toward the sun.

Can you feel it? The change is coming. And it’s beautiful.
